About Us

Lower Woods

Founded in 1961 and funded by membership, donations, corporate support and charitable trust grants, we work to protect and conserve natural habitats for the benefit of Gloucestershire's wildlife and people.

We manage over 60 Nature Reserves in the county and continue to carry out surveys and research to identify other key sites of conservation importance.

Educating the public about the value of wildlife is one of our key aims. We run a successful schools' programme, educating over 2,000 children a year and run over 100 events giving people the opportunity to get closer to wildlife.

With a membership of over 23,000, we aim to give a voice to wildlife and enable our valuable natural places to be protected for generations to come.

How you Can Help...

The Trust relies on funds raised through membership, donations and corporate support to continue it's valuable work. That's why your help is more important than ever to help us protect Gloucestershire's natural beauty for generations to come.

Whether you want to become a member, give a donation or volunteer your time with us, you can find out more by visiting out Support Us section.
